The Invisible Dog Art Center, Brooklyn, NY, USA
It begins with water, pails of water outlining a path toward the light from the garden windows. Patiently, through the dark they lead to three massive wooden platforms. Above them, a figure is visible, fragmented across three floating pieces of silk, ethereal and dissolving in peaceful surrender. She is the Feminine. Her altars are humble structures: cleaning tools and sculptural reliquaries that pay homage to cleanliness. These guide the way, step after step, towards her.
Cleaning can purify. You, me, her and others. She reemerges a clean spirit, in the light.
