Time passing by, emotions provoked by color, the simple life: I rediscovered Impressionism in Venice.

Impressionism, timeless like the traditions of women’s work, evokes the smell of clean laundry, the shiny floor, a sense of redeeming gratification, and yet a sense of confinement. These notions connect women, as Monet’s The Water Lilies or Degas’s The Ironing Women are the common language of museums.

That is the essence.  That is home.
