Little Portraits
October 1st - October 30, 2016
Yvonne Guéguan Impressionnist Museum , Caen
Time passing by, emotions provoked by color, the simple life: I rediscovered Impressionism in Venice.
Impressionism, timeless like the traditions of women’s work, evokes the smell of clean laundry, the shiny floor, a sense of redeeming gratification, and yet a sense of confinement. These notions connect women, as Monet’s The Water Lilies or Degas’s The Ironing Women are the common language of museums.
That is the essence. That is home.
